All big business family crap. No middle class show like wagle ki duniya or chunauti or malgudi days. In the early years of TV world in India we benefited watching true emotions good entertainment really great movies made back then. Yeh how about them. Artists like kishore kumar or Mohd.Rafi sahab where do we find such gems in today's era, Well really hard to find, i am not complaining here ofcourse this totally a different era but we lack in originality and variety compared to past years of small screen and sliver screen entertainment dont you think the same? I wish someone plays these kinda shows again so that at least we get something different to enjoy for a while.

Ramayana and Mahabharat on sunday morning. Than Chandrakanta and Alif-laila on every monday evening at, Malgudy days. Shaktiman on Saturday noon. How can I forget these funny advertisement, which was being broadcast longer than the actual serial. Golden days of childhood. Missing those days.

I am not able to recall the serial name. I just remember a few things about this serial. One of the story was a kid went into a garden and there he found a tree where a secret door was there and that kid went inside the door and found within the tree a house is there where a family is staying. Plz let me know if someone remember the serial name and also if it is available in youtube or in some other site. Thanks in advance.

But beyond that serious exterior he has, there's a flippant and jovial side to Arindam, which is what I love the most about him. I tell him he's like a drug ' once it gets into your system, you can't get over it! ARINDAM: Ever since I first met her, Kheyali struck me as a completely straightforward and down-to-earth person.

Therefore, I thought how about collecting some memories and consolidating them in one website. Isn't it interesting? Actually these shows were 'something' they were simple and one could really associate their life with it cause when we watched those shows, we felt like it was like a reflection of life. So why not watch those trapped moments from the Past you may realize Simple things are so beautiful. Here's a of some intro clips of old Sitcoms aired on Doordarshan. Do you recall these shows? If you do, would U like to talk about them, right here! Watch the Pilot Episode, right here;) its called 'THE FIRST LESSON'. This may have not been aired on DD national channel in the 70s or 80s but I must tell ya, its pretty entertaining. I am sure you guys would love it the plot is based on the Foreign students who join the Adult School in UK England i believe, to learn 'English as a Foreign Language' this is the course they are 'Unrolled for' as one of the student puts it to the school's pompous and tight-fisted Principal, Ms Courtney, when the student is looking to find the Classroom (what he means is Enrolled for) Mr Brown who's the English teacher learns himself the trouble and humor in different cultures from the students as he is teaching them. I love this sitcom enjoyed watchin' very episode n its really hilarious to listen to the students when they innocently mis-interpret things or mis-pronounce words while they are learning.

Isn't it a great feeling to find those great stories we had once watched when we were just kids? Don't you feel those retro shows still connect to us in the present time someway or the other? To your school years and your Childhood days:) National programme was introduced in 1982.

Don't you just love that song, I really got so nostalgic when i heard it here. Why aren't we able to listen to such good shows anymore on DD? They were really some good programs made in the 80s and 90s right. Today there's no catch or moral left. What do you get to see in TV show TODAY?

Your requirement will be burned on to DVDs and couriered to you. I will charge nominally for my servicesin order to cover the costs of the blank DVDs, courier charges, packing material and a marginal compensation for my efforts that I have taken in order to build and maintain this collection for over the last two years! I do not do this on a commercial scaleI do not depend on income from this for my livelihood. The main reason for me to charge for this is (a) As a minor return for all the time, money and efforts I have put into building up this collection (b) The more important reason – I have invested close to Rs. 10,000 on hard disks to store my collectionso trying to break even on this front by charging nominal amounts when I distribute my collection.

What I feel about Kheyali is that given her calibre as an artiste, she hasn't had the right opportunities to showcase her talent, nor has she been given the amount of appreciation that is her due. She can give a lot of big names a run for their money, but she simply doesn't bother to play the PR game. She keeps on complaining that I don't socialise enough, which leads to my missing out on some good work, but she is quite the same in that respect. I firmly believe that no matter what profession you are in, unless you have a happy environment at home, it becomes extremely difficult to get things done. Kheyali was quite an extrovert earlier, now she's become more homebound, and she is the one person who gives me all the stability that I could ever need.

KHEYALI: Arindam and I were first introduced by a common friend during my Jadavpur University days, but it wasn't until later, when both he and I were doing professional theatre, in theatre houses opposite each other, that we got to know each other better. At that time, my father was getting ready to direct Shei Somoy, and I suggested that Arindam go meet him, for lending his voice to the serial's songs. As it happened, my dad felt he'd be perfect for the role of the hero Nabin Kumar, and before I knew it, we were working together. I was assisting my father during the shoot, and Arindam and I grew really close, to the point that our marriage was practically fixed.

Memories refreshed about Entertainment Programs that started becoming more and more popular like Feature Films, Chitrahaar, Sitcoms like Hum-log earning them good TRP and there was this one particular program which is considered to have broken lot of records and ratings, it was the greatest hits of that time 'Phool kile hain gulshan gulshan' for which the host Ms Tabassum, expresses her experiences doing the show which are sweet as herself. Many such faces, shows and programs make you feel nostalgic when you watch it after all these years. Doordarshan here also recalls about the experiences of the early Reporters and New readers national and International like Ms Salma if you remember, the beautiful News reader from the 80s who shared her First day experience of News reading in the Studio which was a bittersweet experience as this network was just in a initial stage.

The show seemed like a cross between Indian and western sitcoms. Fatchar, Karamchand, Dekh Bhai Dekh and Zabaan Sambhal Ke. Someone return my childhood to me, I feel so damned and claustrophobic in today’s era! And yes, Girls back home were pretty too! 322 I am searching for a late night movie shown in dd national or dd metro. I don’t know the year but in this movie a spaceship is landed or fallen into the earth. During that time people used to live in forts or small huts also there are knights who wear full body armour.

I, Viral Shah, found this video in my old collection. Life used to be so much simpler back then. Does anyone remember the foreign language movies that used to be aired back then. I cant remember the names of the movies, probably because I was too small to remember them anyway, but i can still recall some scenes from those movies. One movie in particular, it was about a group of friends going on a trek, in the hills.

Show i have watched ever. Each character looks like the original one. Music by khayyam is superb. I wonder why do we not have a Hindi/ Marathi/ English film based on Shreenath Mahadji Shinde’s heroic life – (Great son of our Nation), till now.

Her parents were renowned theatre artistes Jochhan and Chandra Dastidar and it was fated from the start that she'd chalk out a career in the same line. Tero Parbon, the serial where she made her debut, was something of a landmark in Indian television, and she has acted in several other much-appreciated plays and serials like Uronchondi, Nachni and Appo Appo Gappo in Bengali and Ascharya Deepak and Gaurav in Hindi. At present, though, apart from a couple of serials like Labonyer Sangsar and Tatka Golpe Atka Maash, Kheyali is busy focusing her energies on theatre and scriptwriting. She's acting in a comic play, Cholo Potol Tuli, written and directed by Arindam, and is even penning the script for Neel Simana.
